Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of Hobfolk: the desktop app, the website (hobfolk.dev), the account area (app.hobfolk.dev) and access from anywhere (remoto.hobfolk.dev). By creating an account or using Hobfolk, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

1. What Hobfolk is

1. Hobfolk is a development environment with artificial intelligence agents. It runs on your computer and coordinates third-party AI tools (such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Antigravity and others) as a team that works on your projects.
2. Hobfolk does not provide the AI models. Each tool is used with your own account with its provider, under that provider's terms, limits and prices. Those costs and obligations are yours.
3. The Hobfolk account is used for the subscription, to connect the app and for access from anywhere.

2. Your account

1. To create an account you must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into contracts.
2. Provide true information and keep your e-mail address up to date: that is how we reach you.
3. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what is done with your account. We recommend turning on two-step verification. Let us know at contato@hobfolk.dev if you suspect misuse.
4. The account is personal. Do not share access to it or resell the service.

3. Subscription, payment and cancellation

1. The plan, its price and what it includes are shown in the account area before you subscribe. Billing is monthly, recurring and in advance, through the payment processor shown at checkout (Stripe). Card details are entered with the processor and never pass through us.
2. If a charge is declined, the processor tries again for a few days. Access continues during that period; if the payment is not settled, the plan is suspended.
3. You can cancel whenever you want, in the account area. Access continues until the end of the period already paid, and there is no further charge.
4. Right of withdrawal: you may withdraw from the purchase within 7 (seven) days of the first charge and receive a full refund of the amount paid (Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code). Just write to contato@hobfolk.dev.
5. Outside that period and the cases provided by law, periods already started are not refunded pro rata.
6. We may change the price of the plan. The change applies only to new subscriptions or, for ongoing subscriptions, from the cycle after a notice given at least 30 days in advance; you may cancel before it takes effect.
7. Sign-up includes a 3-day trial without a card. The trial ends without an automatic charge. To continue, you can subscribe to Hobfolk Pro for US$ 10 per month.

4. The app on your computer

1. While the subscription is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to install and use Hobfolk on your computers.
2. The app checks the license with our server from time to time and works for a period without a connection.
3. The agents run commands and change files on your computer, within the permissions and limits you configure. Review the work before using it, keep your projects under version control and make backups. Hobfolk's restore points help, but they do not replace a backup.
4. Results produced by AI may contain errors, security flaws or passages similar to third-party works. It is up to you to assess, test and decide what to use.
5. You may not bypass the license check, reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or redistribute it.

5. Access from anywhere

1. Access from anywhere lets you follow and command Hobfolk on your computer from the browser of another device. The app keeps an outgoing connection to our server, which forwards the requests.
2. This traffic is protected by encryption (TLS) between your browser, our server and your computer. The server forwards the content in transit and does not store it. Each device is paired in front of the computer, with the QR code, or through your account, if you leave that option on in the computer. You can undo any pairing at any time.
3. Access from anywhere depends on an active subscription, on the computer being on and on its internet connection.

6. Your content

1. Your projects, code, files, requests to the agents and what they produce are yours. We claim no rights over them.
2. That content stays on your computer and with the AI providers you chose. We do not receive it, except in transit through access from anywhere, as described above.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Hobfolk to:

• break the law or the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy;
• develop or distribute malicious code, or attack systems without authorization;
• overload, security-test or try to access without authorization our server and other people's accounts (found a flaw? write to contato@hobfolk.dev);
• bypass technical limits, the license check or billing.

8. Availability and support

1. We work to keep the server available, but interruptions may happen for maintenance, because of failures or for reasons beyond our control. The app keeps working on your computer while the offline license is valid.
2. Support is provided by e-mail, at contato@hobfolk.dev.

9. Liability

1. Hobfolk is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the agents' work fits a specific purpose.
2. We are not liable for losses caused by the use of third-party tools and models, by commands you authorized the agents to run, or by a lack of backups of your files.
3. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law guarantees to consumers. Outside consumer relationships, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event.

10. Suspension and termination

1. You can delete your account at any time, in the account area. The subscription is canceled and your personal data is handled as the Privacy Policy says.
2. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with prior notice whenever possible and without prejudice to what has already been paid for the current period, except in case of fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Each version stays published with its date and history at hobfolk.dev/termos. Relevant changes are announced in advance and, when necessary, we ask for your new acceptance in the account area.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. In consumer relationships, the courts of your domicile have jurisdiction. In other cases, jurisdiction is determined by applicable law.
