From the terminal
Install or update with one command
The script finds your system and processor, downloads the latest version from here, checks its SHA-256 and installs it.
curl -fsSL https://hobfolk.dev/install.sh | shirm https://hobfolk.dev/install.ps1 | iex- On macOS, Hobfolk goes to Applications (or ~/Applications, without write access).
- On Linux, the AppImage goes to ~/.local/share/hobfolk, with the hobfolk command and a menu shortcut.
- On Windows, the installer runs without questions, just for your user.
- To update, quit Hobfolk and run the same command: the latest version installs over the old one, without touching your projects or your account.

After installing
Three steps to the first mission
Open Hobfolk
The office opens in a window. The first time, it prepares the machine and installs whatever is missing, in plain sight.
Sign in with your account
Or create one right there. The AI CLIs use the login and plan you already have: no new API key.
Open a folder and ask
A new project or one that already exists. One sentence is enough: the team plans, codes, tests and reviews.

The system asked for confirmation when opening it
The first time, macOS may ask you to open it with right-click › Open, and Windows may show SmartScreen (More info › Run anyway). Check the file’s SHA-256 against this page first.
Which systems work
macOS on Apple Silicon or Intel Macs, Windows 10 or 11 and Linux x64 (.deb or AppImage). Wherever an ARM64 version is published, it shows up in the list.
How do I update
Download it again from this page or run the same terminal command: it installs over the old one, without touching your projects or your account.
